Picasso Linocuts

15th Jun 2016

Seventeen large linocut prints by Pablo Picasso from the collection of the British Museum will be exhibited for the first time outside London.

Considered to be amongst Picasso's most important works in the medium, the prints in the exhibition were all made in 1962 when Picasso was 80 years old. They include portraits of his wife Jacqueline alongside studies for arguably his two best loved linocuts, Nature morte sous la lampe.

Picasso Linocuts at Lady Lever Art Gallery, Port Sunlight Village, Wirral, 24 June 2016 - 8 January 2017.
