Sir Michael Craig-Martin

Michael Craig-Martin, who was awarded a CBE in 2000, is the recipient of a knighthood in this year's Queen's Birthday Honours. Craig-Martin receives a knighthood for services to the Arts.

This award tops a busy past twelve months for the artist who was the subject of two major solo exhibitions, one of which toured museum venues in China and a second at the Serpentine Gallery, London. Craig-Martin also published his first book, On Being An Artist, and was Chief Co-ordinator of the 2015 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.

Craig-Martin’s work can currently be seen in group exhibitions at Tate Britain, London, andFoundling Museum, London.
