Strange Meetings, a new monograph on the work of Clare Woods has been published by Art/Books. The fully illustrated volume presents all major works from Woods career to date, from small-scale intimate paintings to high-profile public commissions and architectural projects. It includes a foreword by Andrew Marr and texts by Michael Bracewell, Rebecca Daniels, Jennifer Higgie and Simon Martin.
A limited edition of twenty copies of Strange Meetings, presented with one of two unique collages painted and signed by the artist in a clothbound, clamshell hand-made box, is available for £960.00. For more information please contact us here.
Woods’s paintings will be exhibited alongside works by Ingo Meller and Daniel Sturgis at the Pier Arts Centre, Scotland, and will focus on the relationships between contemporary painting and its modernist past.
Later in the Summer Woods will exhibit new and recent paintings at Hestercombe Gallery which have been inspired by the history and gardens of the historic house.
