Vicken Parsons is a British artist who was born in 1957 and studied at the Slade School of Fine Art. She makes small, intimate paintings on board using thin layers of oil paint. Her subjects are usually of landscapes or interiors, some remembered and others imagined.
She has had solo exhibitions at the New Art Centre, Roche Court, Salisbury; Galerie Christine König, Vienna and Tate St Ives and most recently took part in the group exhibition Sea Fever: From Turner to Today at Southampton City Art Gallery. She had her first solo exhibition at Alan Cristea Gallery in February 2012. She lives and works in London.
